Immediately-dangerous-to-life-or-health-concentration

The maximum concentration of a hazardous substance in the air from which a person could escape within 30 minutes without experiencing irreversible health effects or severe symptoms that would impair escape. This value is established by regulatory bodies to guide the selection of respiratory protective equipment. It represents a level above which immediate danger to life or health exists.
