Impingement
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005727
The process where gas or liquid containing suspended particles is directed at high velocity against a surface, causing the particles to be collected. This method is used to capture airborne contaminants by forcing them to collide with a liquid or solid medium. It is a common technique in air pollution sampling for collecting particulate matter.
