Initialization efficiency
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005866
The fraction of the initiator or catalyst that successfully generates active species capable of initiating polymer chain growth. It quantifies how effectively the starting material contributes to the formation of propagating chains. This value is often less than 100% due to side reactions or cage effects.
