Intrauterine growth restriction

A condition where a fetus does not achieve its genetically determined growth potential, resulting in a birth weight below the 10th percentile for gestational age. It is often caused by placental insufficiency, maternal health conditions, or fetal abnormalities. This restriction can lead to increased risks of perinatal morbidity and mortality.
