Placental insufficiency

A condition in which the placenta fails to adequately provide the fetus with sufficient nutrients and oxygen, or to remove waste products effectively. This can result from issues with placental development, blood flow, or structural integrity. Placental insufficiency can lead to complications such as fetal growth restriction, preterm birth, and preeclampsia.
