Chorioallantoic placenta

A type of placenta formed by the fusion of the chorion and the allantois, two extraembryonic membranes. This structure facilitates nutrient and gas exchange between the mother and the developing embryo or fetus in most eutherian mammals. It is the predominant type of placenta in humans and many other placental mammals.
