Conceptus

The product of conception, encompassing all structures that develop from the zygote. This includes the embryo or fetus and its associated membranes, such as the amnion, chorion, and allantois, as well as the placenta. The term applies throughout the entire gestation period, from fertilization until the completion of parturition, and is not limited to a specific developmental stage within the uterus.
