Resorption

The complete or partial breakdown and assimilation of embryonic or fetal tissue during gestation, leading to the loss of the conceptus. This process can occur at any stage of pregnancy and results in the absence of a live birth. Resorption is a common endpoint in developmental toxicology studies, indicating adverse effects on reproductive health.
