Multicotyledonary placentation

A type of placental structure found in some mammals, characterized by multiple cotyledons, which are discrete areas of contact between the fetal and maternal tissues. This arrangement allows for nutrient and waste exchange between the mother and the developing fetus. It is a common feature in ruminant animals.
