Allantois

A sac-like extraembryonic membrane that develops from the hindgut of the embryo. In mammals, it contributes to the formation of the umbilical cord and the fetal part of the placenta, facilitating gas exchange and waste removal. It also stores nitrogenous waste in birds and reptiles.
