Ionomer molecule
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006138
A macromolecule that contains a small number of ionic groups covalently attached to its polymer backbone. These ionic groups are typically distributed along the chain and can interact with similar groups on other ionomer molecules. The presence of these groups gives rise to unique properties, such as the formation of ionic aggregates.
