Ionomer multiplet
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006139
A small, localized association of a few ionic groups and their counterions within an ionomer, typically forming the initial stage of ionic aggregation. These multiplets are smaller than full clusters and are characterized by strong electrostatic interactions. They contribute to the unique viscoelastic properties of ionomers.
