Kappa-light chain

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006303

One of two types of polypeptide chains that form the light chain component of an antibody molecule, the other being the lambda-light chain. Each antibody contains two identical light chains, which contribute to the antigen-binding site. In humans, approximately two-thirds of antibodies contain kappa-light chains.
