Lambda (λ)-light chain
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006425
One of the two main types of immunoglobulin light chains, which are smaller polypeptide subunits that combine with heavy chains to form antibodies. Each antibody molecule contains two identical light chains, either kappa or lambda, but never both. The lambda light chain contributes to the antigen-binding specificity of the antibody.
