Lab-at-valve liquid-phase microextraction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006397
An automated batch-type liquid-phase microextraction run by sequential injection analysis, in which the extraction takes place in a separate vessel such as a pipette tip attached to a selection valve with several ports. Sample and extraction solvent are metered into the vessel through the valve under computer control, and the extract is then transferred onward for detection. It differs from lab-on-valve extraction, where the extraction takes place in conduits built into the valve itself.
