Label-free detection

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006400

A method of observing and quantifying molecular interactions or cellular events without the use of reporter molecules like fluorophores or radioisotopes. This approach often relies on intrinsic physical properties of the molecules, such as mass, charge, or refractive index. Techniques like surface plasmon resonance and impedance-based assays fall into this category.
