Label-free quantitation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006401
A method in mass spectrometry for determining the relative or absolute abundance of analytes without the use of isotopic or chemical labels. This approach relies on measuring the signal intensity or spectral count of ions corresponding to the analytes in different samples. It is frequently employed in proteomics for comparing protein expression levels across biological conditions.
