Absolute quantitation of proteins
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012832
A method for determining the exact amount or concentration of specific proteins within a sample. This is achieved by comparing the mass spectrometric signal of target proteins to that of known quantities of isotopically labeled internal standards. The technique provides precise numerical values for protein abundance, often expressed in moles or grams per unit volume.
