Relative counting
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010138
A method in radioanalytical chemistry where the activity of a radioactive sample is determined by comparing its count rate to that of a known reference source. This approach does not require absolute efficiency calibration of the detector. It is often used for routine measurements where precise absolute activity is not required, but comparative values are sufficient.
