Absolute full energy peak efficiency
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000054
The probability that a gamma-ray photon emitted from a radioactive source within a detector's field of view will deposit its full energy in the detector, resulting in a count in the full energy peak. It is a function of the photon energy, detector geometry, and detector material. This efficiency is typically expressed as a dimensionless fraction between 0 and 1.
