Absolute photopeak efficiency
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000057
The probability that a gamma-ray photon emitted by a source will interact with a detector and deposit its full energy, resulting in a count within the photopeak. This efficiency is a function of the gamma-ray energy, detector size, and source-detector geometry. It is a key parameter for quantitative analysis in gamma-ray spectrometry.
