Leukocytosis

A condition characterized by an abnormally high count of white blood cells, or leukocytes, in the blood. This increase is often a physiological response to infection, inflammation, or stress, as the body produces more immune cells to combat a threat. It can also indicate certain medical conditions, such as leukemia.
