Leukemia
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006531
A group of cancers that originate in the bone marrow and result in the overproduction of abnormal white blood cells, or leukocytes. These abnormal cells interfere with the production of normal blood cells and can spread to other parts of the body. Leukemias are classified based on the type of white blood cell affected and the speed of disease progression.
