Acute myelogenous leukemia

A fast-growing cancer of the blood and bone marrow, marked by the rapid proliferation of abnormal myeloid cells, which are immature white blood cells. These cancerous cells accumulate in the bone marrow, disrupting the production of healthy blood cells. It is more common in adults and can progress quickly without treatment.
