Myeloid tissue

Tissue found within the bone marrow that is responsible for the production of blood cells, a process known as hematopoiesis. It contains hematopoietic stem cells and their differentiating progeny, along with stromal cells that provide support. Red bone marrow is the primary site of myeloid tissue activity in adults.
