Hematopoietic stem cell
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005180
A multipotent stem cell that gives rise to all other blood cells through the process of hematopoiesis. These cells are found in the bone marrow of adults and are responsible for the continuous replenishment of the blood supply. They differentiate into both the myeloid lineages, including monocytes and granulocytes, and the lymphoid lineages, including T-cells and B-cells.
