Myeloid stem cell

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007727

A multipotent hematopoietic stem cell progenitor found in the bone marrow that gives rise to all blood cell types except lymphocytes. These cells differentiate into granulocytes (neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils), monocytes, erythrocytes, and megakaryocytes (which produce platelets). This lineage is distinct from the lymphoid stem cell lineage.
