Myeloblast

An immature precursor cell found in the bone marrow that differentiates into granulocytes, such as neutrophils, eosinophils, and basophils. These cells are characterized by a large nucleus, prominent nucleoli, and basophilic cytoplasm. The presence of an elevated number of myeloblasts in the blood or bone marrow is indicative of acute myeloid leukemia.
