Stem cell

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011355

An undifferentiated cell capable of self-renewal and differentiation into specialized cell types. These cells possess the ability to divide and produce more stem cells, as well as progenitor cells that can develop into specific tissues. Embryonic stem cells are pluripotent, meaning they can differentiate into any cell type in the body.
