Stenosis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011356
The abnormal narrowing of a bodily passage, duct, or vessel. This constriction can impede the flow of fluids, such as blood or urine, or restrict the movement of substances. A common example is aortic stenosis, where the aortic valve narrows, reducing blood flow from the heart.
