Stent

A medical device, usually a mesh tube, inserted into a natural passage or conduit in the body to prevent or counteract a localized constriction. It is used to keep a lumen open, such as in arteries, ducts, or other tubular structures. Coronary stents are frequently used to treat narrowed or blocked heart arteries.
