Support-coated open-tubular column

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011614

A type of capillary column used in gas chromatography where the inner wall of the tube is coated with a finely divided solid support material, which is then impregnated with the liquid stationary phase. This design offers a larger surface area for the stationary phase compared to wall-coated open-tubular columns. These columns are suitable for separating volatile compounds.
