Suspension
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011698
A heterogeneous mixture in which solid particles are dispersed in a fluid, such as a liquid or a gas. The particles are large enough to be seen and will eventually settle out over time due to gravity. This differs from a colloid, where particles are smaller and remain dispersed indefinitely.
