Polymeric sol
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009193
A colloidal dispersion where the dispersed phase consists of polymer particles or macromolecules suspended in a continuous liquid medium. These systems are typically stable and do not readily settle. Polymeric sols are precursors to polymeric gels and are used in coatings, adhesives, and drug delivery.
