Suspension of solid charged particles
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011700
A heterogeneous system consisting of finely divided solid particles dispersed in a liquid phase, where the solid particles possess an electrical charge on their surface. These charges can arise from ionization of surface groups, adsorption of ions, or isomorphic substitution within the particle structure. Such systems exhibit properties like electrophoresis and electroosmosis.
