Vasospasm
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012531
A sudden, intense, and prolonged constriction of a blood vessel, which significantly reduces or completely obstructs blood flow through that vessel. This involuntary contraction can lead to ischemia and tissue damage if sustained. Vasospasm is a common complication in conditions such as subarachnoid hemorrhage and Raynaud's phenomenon.
