Ischemia

A condition characterized by an inadequate blood supply to an organ or part of the body, leading to a shortage of oxygen and nutrients required for cellular metabolism. This reduced blood flow can cause tissue damage or dysfunction if prolonged. It is a common cause of heart attacks and strokes.
