Pulmonary valve stenosis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009668
A congenital heart defect characterized by a narrowing of the pulmonary valve, which obstructs blood flow from the right ventricle to the pulmonary artery. This narrowing forces the heart to work harder to pump blood, potentially leading to right ventricular hypertrophy. The severity of the stenosis can range from mild to severe.
