Neutrophil

A type of granulocyte, and the most abundant white blood cell in humans, playing a primary role in the innate immune response. These phagocytic cells are rapidly recruited to sites of infection or inflammation, where they engulf and destroy pathogens. Neutrophils contain granules filled with enzymes and antimicrobial compounds.
