Lymphadenopathy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006824
A condition characterized by the abnormal enlargement of lymph nodes in size, number, or consistency. It is a common response to infection, inflammation, or malignancy, as lymphocytes and other immune cells proliferate within the node to combat a perceived threat. In immunotoxicology, the presence of lymphadenopathy following chemical exposure can indicate an immunomodulatory effect, either stimulation or a reactive change.
