Hodgkin disease
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005329
A type of lymphoma, which is a cancer originating from the lymphatic system, a part of the body's immune system. The disease is distinguished from other lymphomas by the presence of a specific type of abnormal cell called the Reed-Sternberg cell, which is identified through microscopic examination of biopsied tissue. This cancer typically begins in a lymph node in the neck, armpit, or chest and spreads in an orderly manner to adjacent lymph nodes.
