Lymphokine-activated killer cell
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006844
A type of cytotoxic lymphocyte that exhibits enhanced tumor-killing activity after being stimulated with certain lymphokines, particularly interleukin-2. These cells are derived from natural killer cells or T lymphocytes and are capable of lysing a broad spectrum of tumor cells without prior sensitization. Their activity is often explored in adoptive immunotherapy for cancer treatment.
