Mean generation time
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007073
The average time required for a population of organisms, such as bacteria or cells, to double in number under specific environmental conditions. This parameter is a measure of the reproductive rate and growth kinetics of a population. It is inversely related to the specific growth rate.
