Growth rate

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005048

The rate at which a population of organisms, such as microorganisms or cells, increases in number or biomass over a specific period. This metric quantifies the speed of biological proliferation under given environmental conditions. It is expressed as a change in population size per unit of time, often in units like doublings per hour or cells per milliliter per day.
