Mean-square unperturbed radius of gyration
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007088
A measure of the average size of a polymer coil in a theta solvent, where polymer-solvent and polymer-polymer interactions are balanced. It represents the mean-square distance of all chain segments from the polymer's center of mass, assuming ideal chain behavior without excluded volume effects. This value is often denoted as <s^2>0 and is a fundamental property for characterizing polymer chain dimensions.
