Measurement capability
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007095
The ability to measure a quantity within a specified interval of quantity values, in a specified kind of material, as demonstrated by the measurement uncertainty achieved. It is stated as an interval with an uncertainty, for example lead in drinking water from 1 to 50 micrograms per litre with a relative expanded uncertainty of 10 percent, so it describes a span of values rather than a single smallest quantifiable amount.
