Measurement efficiency

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007096

The number of detector events recorded per atom of analyte in the sample, so that it folds together the probability that an atom produces a detectable signal and the efficiency with which that signal is collected and counted. It differs from detector efficiency, which relates counts to the events that actually reach the detector rather than to the atoms present in the sample.
