Melt flow index
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007150
A measure of the thermoplastic polymer's ability to flow under specific conditions of temperature and pressure, indicating its processability. It quantifies the mass of polymer extruded through a die of standard dimensions in a given time. This value is inversely related to the polymer's molecular weight and is typically expressed in grams per 10 minutes (g/10 min).
