Micromercurialism
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007339
A form of chronic mercury poisoning resulting from long-term exposure to low concentrations of mercury vapor or mercury compounds. The condition manifests as a collection of non-specific neuropsychiatric symptoms, including excitability, memory loss, insomnia, and tremors. Diagnosis is based on a history of exposure and the presence of these characteristic symptoms, rather than on a single definitive test.
