Micromass culture
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007338
A cell culture technique where a high density of cells is seeded in a small volume to promote cell-to-cell interactions and differentiation, particularly for studying chondrogenesis. This method is frequently used in developmental toxicology to assess the effects of chemical agents on cartilage formation. The cells are typically derived from limb bud mesenchyme.
